EDS Credit Union Introduces New Microsite For Millenials
“The Arrival Guide” Helps Young Professionals Reach Their Financial Destination
DALLAS--(allCUnews.com)--EDS Credit Union today announced the launch of “The Arrival Guide,” a microsite designed to help young professionals plan and prepare for their financial future. The site, www.thearrivalguide.com, goes live August 24 and opens the topic with a question to the younger set: You’re Here, But Have You Arrived?
“The Arrival Guide” contains a collection of smaller guides designed to aid young professionals in a fresh and engaging way with decision-making in five key areas: first-time home buying, new additions to the family, new car purchases, budgeting and investing. Each topic includes a set of important questions one should consider when faced with life-changing events. A research page features a calculator to gauge the financial impact of large purchases; a glossary of financial terms to help young professionals wade through a sea of banking jargon; links to the EDS Credit Union newsletter; videos providing financial tips; and links to helpful resources. The site will also include a forum to exchange information and discuss financial issues.
EDS Credit Union launched “The Arrival Guide” to capture a burgeoning market of young professionals faced with key financial decisions in a new, more challenging economic environment. Despite the current downswing in the economy, credit unions nationwide have remained viable: they continue to loan money for homes, automobiles and more. Profits reaped by the organization are returned to members in the form of lower interest rates and higher dividends.
"Our goal is to use ‘The Arrival Guide’ as a supportive tool to not only address the specific financial needs of young professionals, but also present credit unions as a smart choice to help meet them," said Diane Gerstner, EVP and COO of EDS Credit Union.
“The Arrival Guide” is part of a larger, integrated marketing campaign developed by Dallas-based marketing firm, CultureLab (www.culturelabcreative.com). The campaign kicks off August 24 with two, thirty-second television spots scheduled to run in northern Dallas and Collin County. The campaign also will feature cinema ads, the use of social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, and promotional events. For a preview of the ads, please visit www.thearrivalguide.com.
Headquartered in Plano, Texas, EDS Credit Union serves more than 57,000 members in 14 locations throughout the United States. The organization holds assets totaling more than $780 million. Customer deposits are insured by the National Credit Union Association.
