MEMBERS Capital Advisors Adds New Investment Managers

MADISON, Wis., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- MEMBERS Capital Advisors, the Registered Investment Advisor affiliate of CUNA Mutual Group, has added two well known investment experts, Livia Asher and Bruce Ebel, to its team.

Asher has been hired as a senior investment officer to manage the MEMBERS Mid Cap Value Fund within MEMBERS® Mutual Funds. She also will serve as the analyst for stocks in the non-bank financial sector. Asher was a portfolio manager and analyst covering the U.S. financial services industry at Allianz of America in Westport, Conn. Prior to that, she served as an officer and investment analyst for Merrill Lynch; Fox-Pitt, Kelton; First Boston and Mitsubishi Trust and Banking, all in New York.

Asher earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Queens College, N.Y., and a master's with honors from Long Island University.

Bruce Ebel joins MEMBERS Capital Advisors as lead portfolio manager of the MEMBERS Mutual Funds Large Cap Growth Fund. He most recently worked as managing director at LIFEPOINT Financial Consultants, Inc., Chicago.

Ebel started as an equity analyst for First Chicago and then moved to Kemper Financial Services, where he managed the Kemper Growth Fund. He also was associate director of research and managed institutional accounts. Prior to that, Ebel worked at Loomis Sayles, LLC, in Chicago, as institutional core equity portfolio manager, and at State Street Research in Boston as senior vice president and equity portfolio manager, where he managed $12 billion in institutional equity assets.

Ebel holds a bachelor of arts degree and a master's from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations.
