Entrust and Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union Settle Patent Lawsuit
DALLAS, July 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, Entrust, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENTU] announces it has settled its patent infringement lawsuit against Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union filed in March. As part of the settlement agreement, Addison Avenue has agreed to license the Entrust IdentityGuard product and the parties have agreed to dismiss their respective claims and counterclaims with prejudice. The patent infringement lawsuit, involving Entrust's U.S. Patent 5,712,627 (the "627 Patent"), was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on March 22, 2006 and settled on June 30, 2006. Both companies are pleased to have reached an amicable resolution without a need for further litigation.
