Campus Federal Credit Union Implements FICS’ Commercial Servicer®
SAN ANTONIO--(www.allCUnews.com)--Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house commercial servicing technology to the mortgage industry, announced at the MBA's CREF/Multifamily Asset Administration and Technology Conference the successful implementation of Commercial Servicer® at Baton Rouge, La.-based Campus Federal Credit Union, one of the nation's oldest credit unions.
In July 2006, Campus Federal purchased FICS’ commercial real estate loan servicing system, Commercial Servicer in order to service loans. The credit union moved into the commercial lending arena in 2006 and realized that in order to continue to successfully grow, it required a system that could handle the increased portfolio servicing needs, as well as a software provider that could provide the technical assistance and support the credit union required. Campus Federal selected FICS’ Commercial Servicer for the systems’ comprehensiveness and warehouse/investor/participation functions, the ability to consolidate and track data and generate reports, as well as the technical assistance offered by FICS’ customer service team, all enabling more efficient day-to-day portfolio management. The credit union also benefits from an interface between Commercial Servicer and their core processing software platform from XP Systems, which enables them to share data between the platforms and allows the frontline staff to see loan information and take payments for these loans.
“Since the implementation of Commercial Servicer, we have found the software to be comprehensive and able to handle loan data, variable payment definitions, a wide array of loan structures, and all of the relevant collateral and security information, and have benefited from a solid level of training, service, support and product knowledge provided by the FICS staff,” said Todd Zirkle, vice president, Business Services, of Campus Federal Credit Union. “FICS has helped position the credit union to more effectively serve our business members and has freed the staff to focus on additional revenue generating activities.”
“FICS has been able to provide Campus Federal with the solutions required to efficiently service their growing commercial lending portfolio, benefiting both its members and employees,” said Dawn Gibbs, president and CEO of FICS. “With fewer necessary manual procedures as a result of our software solutions, Campus Federal has been able to redirect available resources to better increase internal efficiency and revenue generation, making for a more competitive institution.”
